The Fox and the Crow: Revised by Rachel

Once upon a time there was a small but clever fox, who hungrily craved cheese. The crow was black and dull because it was not very smart. The tree was very peaceful because it was a bright, sunny morning and all was very quiet. The cheese was big and whole while it was on the sandy, desert floor.

The fox thinks of a clever plan to get the cheese from the crow because he is hungry and wants to eat the cheese. The crow is unaware of this plan, believing everything the fox tells him. As humongous tree watches this silently, pondering on what the fox is doing. The small cheese, who is sitting in the crow's mouth, waits to be eaten. Then the crow drops the poor, small cheese into the fox's mouth. The fox gobbles him up.

The fox who had a clever plan to get the cheese received the cheese, because his clever plan was very clever, indeed. Although the crow was angered about the fact that the fox tricked him, but the crow was heartily taught a very good lesson as he said:

Don't Believe Everything you hear.

Ardenwood By Rachel

Ardenwood is a educational and fun farm where kids can learn about how people used to live and act. Ardenwood has many exhibits where kids can get hands-on experiences. Here are some descriptions of my favorite parts.

One of the parts of Ardenwood I have always loved is the activities and games they offer to their guests. The games they play are based on old games they did back then. The activities tell you about old life and teach you how people used to live. From spinning wool to picking corn, Ardenwood really has the spirit for trying new things and having fun!

Ardenwood has corn fields that they are available for the guests to pick. This is one of my favorite parts because picking corn is really fun for me. There are two corn fields, one with Indian Corn, and one with Popcorn. After the staff picks some Indian corn, they take it to the hay circle, where the guests can shell it off the cob. Next, they take the kernels into the barn and put them into the grinder. Then they grind them into smaller pieces so they can feed them to the animals. For Popcorn, they put it into a small warehouse for the corn to dry out. After the Popcorn dries out, they can give it to the guests to take home. Or, like others, the guests can pick their own corn to take home and dry to eat.

Ardenwood has a nice little train that goes from Ardenwood to Deer Park. The train has two cars plus the engine. One is 110 years old and the other is 310 years old. The engine is a dirty brown and a little bit of rust, but it has a lot of life still in it. The train is fast and very fun. I like the train very much and Maxwell likes it a lot too. He loves riding it! By the train tracks, butterflies flutter around in the air, flapping their wings. It makes a very pretty sight. I love how the monarchs look with their beautiful bright orange wings and black wing outline. They are very pretty!

I definitely recommend Ardenwood for a fun learning experience. All the activities and games will have you begging to come back. Get your passes today!

Future Dream Girls Time Playground: Part One By Rachel

This is my Dream Future Playground. I spend a lot of time dreaming about the future, and writing it up. My imagination is one of the things I love about me, and everyone else. I hope you enjoy reading my imagination, and here's my story...

This playground starts with escalator stairs to a private theater, where you watch any movie that you ever wanted to watch with your friends! after the movie, the door opens and you go out into a glass elevator. In the elevator, there is money waiting for you. You take the money, and then the door opens. You exit the elevator into a fancy boutique mall, where you can find anything you ever wanted or needed for a low price! And when you use the money, all your dreams will come true! They have everything from barrettes to hair ties, goggles to swimsuits, dresses to skirts, and bras to shirts. After you shop, everything you bought will be delivered to you house. And then you step into the glass elevator, which takes you to a waiting limousine. The limousine takes you to a big show, were you design a fabulous outfit, get your make-up done, and put on jewelry and other accessories and model it all for tons of famous stars and a huge crowd. Then you change into a gown that was made just for you so you can relax and chat with your friends in your private lounge. You are served any drink, food, or sweet you want and you can play around on your new laptop.

I would be an...Icing Tip! By Rachel

If I were a kitchen utensil, what would I be and why?

I would be an Icing Tip. I would be an Icing Tip because I like Icing and its nice and smooth. I would not want to be a knife because it is sharp, and sometimes you have to cut hard things with a knife. I would not want to be a whisk, either because I would get dizzy from whisking around so much. I also would not want to be a spatula, because sometimes they are exposed to lots of heat, not to mention scraping the cookie dough from the bottom of the bowl. Well, being an Icing Tip might be nice, but I rather use one then be one!
