Zooming In

Sometimes writers choose a big topic to write about. It could be something like "What I Did Last Summer" or "My Friends". It can be hard to write about such a big topic. There is too much to say! It can help to narrow the topic down. You might think of zooming in with a great big microscope. If you are trying to write about "My Friends" you might zoom in to one friend. Then zoom in to one thing about that friend. By zooming in on a smaller topic you can write more details and that makes interesting writing.

Knowing Strangers

 A little bit ago I went on a trip to Utah. At the end of the trip when I was getting of the plane I hear a lady say:"good luck with house hunting". The reason I noticed this was because my Mom and Dad were going house hunting at the time. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have noticed.
