Mount st. Helens

  1. I think it is so interesting that you got to camp on a volcano. Your story started out like a report and then you added that you got to camp there. That was an unusual way to start your story and really got my attention. I am wondering if you can still see things that were destroyed when the volcano erupted.

  3. I don't know, but I don't think so, I think a lot of ash buried it.

  4. William, when I read your blog entry about Mount St. Helens it reminded me of when our family visited there a few years after the eruption. There wasn't a visitor's center yet, but we could drive up a new road and at the end you could look up into the place where the side of the mountain slid down. All the trees were still laying flat on the ground. Did you see any trees like that?

  5. That sounds like a hug eruption! I would have loved to see it from very far away, but definitely not close enough to also get buried by ash! Thanks for sharing what you learned about it! I hope your camping trip was fun!
